General Changes

DirectX 11 - Performance Boost

We identified a major bottleneck where framerates dropped significantly during intense scenarios. most noticeably in full-party PvP encounters, fully buffed parties and whenever multiple interface panels were active simultaneously. To resolve this, we completely redesigned our legacy UI and text rendering architecture from the ground up for DirectX 11.

Key Highlights:

• Complete Rewrite: Replaced the legacy UI and font pipeline to eliminate render overhead and draw calls.
• Massive FPS Boost: Up to +200% to +300% FPS in intense PvP, crowded hubs, and UI-heavy situations.
• Faster Text Rendering: lower usage of resources and faster rendering.

Battlemodes: Anonymous Join & Costumes

Anonymous Join: Tick "Join Anonymous" in the Battlemode banner to join anonymously.

• Anonymous Appearance: When joining anonymously, player names are randomized and equipment appearance is standardized. If you're wearing a costume, it stays visible and is shown in your team's colors.
• Normal Join: When joining normally, you keep your regular equipment and visible costumes.
• Guild View: A player's region is no longer shown in the Guild View while they're in a Battlemode.

Mission War

Mission War is back! It has been reactivated on the following General Mission maps:

• Doc 10 (Yesode)
• Doc 20 (Tarat)
• Doc 30 (Nezak)
• Doc 80 (Mirhur)

New in Mirhur: A brand-new mission zone has been built in the center of the map.

Please note: Signing up for Mission War Mode through the Battlemode registration has been disabled.

Security Code System

Your account holds everything you've worked for: your gear, your gold, and your rarest items. To give you an extra layer of protection, we've added the Security Code System: a personal code (like a second password) that keeps your valuables safe, even if someone else gets into your account.

• Create Your Code: Set up a personal security code of 8–12 characters that must contain at least one number and one special character. You'll be prompted once the first time you log in.
• Unlock on Login: While enabled, you enter your code a single time each login. Until you do, item- and trade-related actions stay locked.
• Protected Actions: Your code is required for trading, selling, dropping, storing and most item- and money-related actions.
• Enable & Disable: Turn the protection on or off whenever you like. Disabling always requires your current code. This can either be done after entering your code or inside the ESC-Menu.
• Not Interested? Choose "Do not show again" on the create screen to stop the prompt. You can always set up a code later from the ESC-Menu.
• Change Your Code: Update your security code whenever you want after unlocking.
• Protection: After 10 incorrect attempts your account is temporarily locked for 24 hours, with the unlock time clearly shown.

Quality of Life

New Settings Menu

• The old settings menu has been modernized, enlarged, improved and neatly split into categories.
• New categories: Graphics, Gameplay, Sound and Interface

Show Cloak with Costumes

• Cloaks can now be displayed while wearing a costume, so you no longer have to choose between your favorite outfit and your cloak.

Hide Cloak

• Cloaks can now be hidden. When the cloak is hidden, your weapon is carried on your back instead.

Class Names Instead of Player Names

• You can now choose to display the class name instead of the player name for both allies and enemies.

Repeat Messages

• Use the ↑ / ↓ arrow keys to scroll through your recently sent messages. Up to 30 messages are cached.
• Item links including stats are preserved.

Mute AoE Sounds

• AoE sounds can now be disabled in the Sound settings.
